Presidential Search Committee continues to work with R. William Funk & Associates to conduct the search for FIU’s sixth President

The FIU Presidential Search Committee continues to work with R. William Funk & Associates to conduct the search for FIU’s sixth President. The Committee unanimously approved a marketing plan on April 25, 2022 and received feedback from 10 listening sessions. This feedback was used to adopt the Presidential Position Criteria and Leadership Statement, which was recommended by the Presidential Search Committee on April 25, 2022 and subsequently approved by the FIU Board of Trustees on April 26, 2022.

Since then, the Search Committee held a public meeting on June 1, 2022, to address the search process with the search consultant. Thereafter, the Search Committee has met numerous times with the search firm to conduct interviews, recruit, and vet applicants. We will provide an update as soon as we move into the next phase of this process.
